Growing and identifying red wine gs?

I am growing red wine gs from seed I was just wondering how long it would take for them to spout. I don't know what kind nor do I know how to tell. They used to grow at my grate grandparents farm in a very lager field but were recently taken out do to not producing much anymore. Ether way the point is they grew in Ohio in direct light very well for about 60 years. So any help on identifying and growing would be great.
