Should I be annoyed w/ him for treating me this way?

to me i would feel like he was treating me like a child you dont tell a person how they can ffeel it would have been different if he did patt u on the like he was giving you a for being mad and upset and as in is it common for guys to do that no not the ones i was with they would hold me and tell me to calm down
