I also never mourned my father's death. As I have matured, I have come to accept that we did not share any thing in common and had no love for one another. No where is it written in stone that you WILL love a parent or a child. It tends to be the case, but not always. I wouldn't say you are heartless or cold or in any way abnormal, you aren't grieving because he was a stranger to you, do you grieve the death of strangers? Of course not.
